When most average people think of the UFC, they probably think about two expert fighters entering a cage to beat one another until one is declared the victor. While that is absolutely fair, those same people should be aware that the UFC has been host to plenty of hilarious moments over the years.

Whether those moments come from fighters giving a charismatic interview, training before a bout, getting ready to finally clash in the octagon, or simply due to dumb luck, there are tons of funny moments each and every year. The rise in the UFC's popularity has helped show off their comedic side much more in recent years, but that doesn't mean there weren't laughs in the earlier days as well.

10 Nick Diaz On Conor McGregor's Fighting

When Conor McGregor was the talk of the UFC, everyone had a different opinion of him. Some lashed out toward the brash fighter in an attempt to get early verbal jabs in against the skilled speaker, but some simply praised the great fighter.

When Nick Diaz was asked about his opinion on McGregor's fighting style, he wasn't all that interested in a lengthy observation. He simply said, "I like it." before putting the mic down, leading everyone in attendance at the UFC press conference to burst into laughter.

9 Cerrone's Coat

During a press conference leading up to the shocking bout between Donald Cerrone and Conor McGregor, rather than plenty of smack-talk, McGregor had some praise for Cerrone. McGregor has always been known for being flashy, but Cerrone may have one-upped him at that time.

Cerrone was wearing what he claimed to be a snake-skin suit, something that definitely stuck out. The humor came from how nonchalant the whole thing felt. Seeing McGregor take some time to praise his opponent for something so strange likely had many shaking their heads with a grin on their face.

8 Oliveira & Perry Bust A Move

Most of the time, a UFC bout is incredibly serious, and that extends to the fighter's walk-outs. Walk-outs are usually a time when a fighter takes in the energy of the UFC crowd to get themselves hyped up for what they are about to do.

In a bout between Alex Oliveira and Mike Perry, both fighters were more interested in keeping things light during the walkouts. As Oliveira approached the octagon, both men could be seen busting equally silly moves, something that caused most people watching to smile.

7 Adesanya The Pro Wrestler

Israel Adesanya Before The Fight

When fighters get some training in directly in front of the press, there's bound to be some kind of shenanigans at some point, especially if the fighter in question is Israel Adesanya. Rather than a simple sparring session and some shadow-boxing, Adesanya showed off his wrestling skills.

He hit some wrestling finishers on his training partner before launching into a rock bottom and hitting a peoples elbow. UFC fans who are also fans of the rock probably got a huge kick out of seeing Adesanya have some fun in the midst of a serious situation.

6 Brock On Frank Mir's Horseshoe

It's probably fair to say that the average person never wants to get into a fight with Brock Lesnar. Luckily for UFC fans, Frank Mir isn't the average person, but unfortunately, he didn't fare all that well against Mir in their second meeting.

During his post-fight interview, Lesnar is clearly still amped up from the bout and explains that he told Mir that he had a horseshoe where the sun doesn't shine and that he'd pulled it out and beaten him over the head with it. Brock caps off the hilarious moment with a loud shout only adding to the hilarity.

5 Derrick Lewis Needs To Poop

Derrick Lewis During An Interview

Most UFC fans could point to pretty much any Derrick Lewis moment on the mic as one of the funniest in the company's history. He's not the most charismatic speaker, but it's hard to say that he doesn't say exactly what's on his mind at any given time.

During a UFC interview, Lewis doesn't even seem to be aware of the fact that he's on-air when he hilariously makes it clear that he needs to use the washroom. He clues into the interview almost immediately after, almost like it never even happened in the first place.

4 I'm Not Impressed…

When most people think of Georges St-Pierre, they probably think of a generally respectful, but dominant fighter. One of GSP's funniest moments was an instance in which he completely disrespected an upcoming opponent.

Taking the mic from Rogan, GSP told Matt Hughes he was happy he'd just won his bout, but that GSP wasn't all that impressed by the man's performance. The moment became a huge meme in the MMA community, one that is still alive to this day. Plenty of UFC fans mimic GSP's iconic words every chance they get.

3 Mike Perry's Halo

Fans of Mike Perry know how charismatic the guy can be, and one of his funniest moments was actually a complete accident. As the story seems to go, Perry wanted to walk out to the theme from the Halo video games but instead got Beyonce's hit song Halo.

The stark contrast in music caused Perry to shout out the fact that it was the wrong song, but that didn't stop him. He made the most of the moment in hilarious fashion, something that every UFC fan should experience at some point.

2 The Punches Were Super Necessary

One of the funniest moments in UFC history likely wasn't intended to be all that funny considering the follow-up explanation to the funny statement. Masvidal was being interviewed about the necessity of additional strikes to finish his opponent.

He simply told the interviewer that they were "super necessary", something said so matter-of-factly that it caused many to chuckle. The funny statement does make sense, as it is a fighter's job to fight until the bout is officially stopped by an official. Masvidal was just doing his job.

1 The Infamous Spilled Ice

Most major UFC fans likely know of the spilled ice incident. The funniest moment in UFC history isn't even thanks to the many fighters involved with the promotion, but instead, thanks to Joe Rogan and various UFC workers. During a bout, a bucket of ice was spilled inside the octagon.

Joe Rogan took a moment to laugh at the clean-up crew as their attempts to fix the issue continued to go bad. Eventually, the crew leaves without fully tending to their mess, which Joe Rogan hilariously laughs and pokes fun at.
